From Aaron's sermon yesterday.
Mealtimes in Jesus' time ..
1. support kinship: Jesus replaced kinship with kingdom
2. enforce boundaries: Jesus said here's how to be great -- serve one another
3. perpetuate social values: what made Jesus mad? setting up a boundary that kept people from Him.
4. gain honor: God will do anything it takes to knock down barriers that keep people from the table.
