Let Us Not Grow Weary

So don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time. Galatians 6:9 (New Living Translation)

------------

"Every word of encouragement, every prayer of intercession, every act of helping is seed that will mature to eternal life. ...

The person, though, who looks for quick results in the seed planting of well-doing will be disappointed. If I want potatoes for dinner tomorrow, it will do me little good to go out and plant potatoes in my garden tonight. There are long stretches of darkness and invisibility and silence that separate planting and reaping. During the stretches of waiting there is cultivating and weeding and nurturing and planting still other seeds. "Let us not grow weary in well-doing." The task is endless.
