Given Me to Encourage

The Master, God, has given me
   a well-taught tongue,
So I know how to encourage tired people.
  He wakes me up in the morning,
Wakes me up, opens my ears
   to listen as one ready to take orders.  [Message]

[The Servant of God says] The Lord God has given Me the tongue of a disciple and of one who is taught, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He wakens Me morning by morning, He wakens My ear to hear as a disciple [as one who is taught].  [Amplified]

The Lord GOD has given me
   the tongue of those who are taught,
that I may know how to sustain with a word
    him who is weary.
Morning by morning he awakens;
   he awakens my ear
   to hear as those who are taught.  [ESV]
