Commitment to Encouragement

"I firmly believe that an individual is never more Christ-like than when full of compassion for those who are down, needy, discouraged, or forgotten. How terribly essential is our commitment to encouragement."

Growing Strong in the Seasons of Life, p. 213.

Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today.

I've learned this lesson recently as I'm becoming part of an organization that serves Latinos in the CSRA--ALAS (acronym that means 'wings'), alascsra.org. I want to be compassionate to these people because Jesus was compassionate, and I want to show them that I can be a regular persona like Jesus was a regular person.
