Bravo God

There is a new (to me) song by Jami Smith called "Bravo God" (2005, Soul Thirst Music).

At one point the lyrics go:
Bravo, bravo God
Bravo, bravo God
Bravo, bravo God
To your name we give you praise.

What causes you to say "bravo God"?

i came across your blog and thought to leave a message.

i think that this concept of 'bravo, God' is debasing in a sense. i mean, we say 'bravo' after a performance or a concert, but i just think of God on a much higher plane than a performer--someone who deserves more than a 'bravo' or 'good job, mate'. who are we to comment on God's creation as if we weren't quite sure what to expect or if we were scrutinising it. God deserves more than a 'bravo'; i think he deserves a greater kind of praise that can be found in our hearts in communion with him and not expressed with words.
